About SPARSH
S.P.A.R.S.H. is an I.S.R. (Institute Social Responsibility) wing of S.I.T.M. which aims to reward a living, enrich living and spread a message of charity, mercy, love and benevolence by doing something for the betterment and upliftment of the society. S.P.A.R.S.H. stands for SIDTM (Formerly SITM)’s Plan to Act, Reach, Support and Heal. Thus, S.P.A.R.S.H. as a committee, not only focuses on enhancing the quality of living of the needy ones but also it emphasizes on those several ways that cater to the good of the society as a whole. The events conducted by S.P.A.R.S.H. unite everyone together where everyone realizes that they play a significant role in doing something good for the society without expecting anything in return.
BLOOD DONATION CAMP
Pune: A Blood Donation Camp was organised by Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM) in association with Symbiosis Centre of Health Care & district Jankalyan Blood Bank on 22nd Jan, 2011 on the occasion of 75th birth anniversary celebration of Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, President & Founder Director, Symbiosis Society. The drive was organized by SIDTM (Formerly SITM) SPARSH team, a student body of SIDTM (Formerly SITM) for social cause & was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Patil Director, SIDTM (Formerly SITM). Across the spectrum, students participated in the blood donation camp. Participating institutes included SIDTM (Formerly SITM), SIBM, SIMC , SIT & SSBM etc.
Around 200 students participated in blood donation which ran through the whole day. Proper care was taken of students who donated their blood. Students, who wanted to donate blood, were taken through a thorough medical examination. Only those who passed this examination were allowed to donate blood.
Catchy slogans like “All it cost is little Love”, “One drop of Blood can give Life to Someone” were displayed at prominent places throughout the Campus and on notice boards which resulted in this overwhelming response from Students, Faculty and employees from all the Participating institute.
Mr. Sunil Patil Director, SIDTM (Formerly SITM), took the lead along with Ms. Jasmeet Kaur (Committee Head) and Coordinator Mrs. Geeta Rao which inspired others to donate their blood. This camp became successful with the help of Symbiosis Centre for health Care and Jankalyan Blood Bank a part of Rotary Club.
