Student Exchange Programme
SIDTM undertaken student exchange programmes in collaboration with University of Liverpool, UK and RWTH Aachen University, Germany allow students to undertake studies in subjects such as global innovation, strategic management, telecommunications policy, smart city applications, corporate social responsibility etc. In addition to academic learning, students benefit from networking opportunities, cultural immersion, and exposure to new pedagogical approaches.
Faculty Exchange Programme
SIDTM also promotes global faculty engagement as part of its comprehensive internationalization strategy. Through faculty mobility programs for SIDTM faculty participate in short-term teaching residencies and collaborative curriculum development activities with international institutions. These teaching engagements result in enriched classroom delivery, cross-institutional learning, and the design of interdisciplinary modules relevant to global industry needs.
A notable achievement in this direction includes SIDTM faculty conducting guest lecture sessions and workshops in QS-ranked universities such as:
- National University of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan
- Samara State Medical University, Russia
- National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Taiwan
- Westminster International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
- Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore
- Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar
Additionally, renowned faculty members from international institutions including Nottingham Business School, UK, and the QREC Centre of Entrepreneurship, Kyushu University, Japan, have conducted guest sessions and interactive workshops at SIDTM. These sessions focus on areas such as international business strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, emerging telecom regulations, and digital transformation.

Publication with International Faculties
At the Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management (SIDTM), we strongly emphasize global academic collaboration to foster high-impact research and innovation. Our faculty and students actively engage in joint research projects and scholarly publications with international academic partners. A notable example is our collaboration with the University of Kufa, Najaf, Iraq, and University of Bahrain, Bahrain supported through foreign university research and publication grants. These partnerships have enabled co-authorship of research papers on emerging topics in digital technology, AI, cybersecurity, and telecommunications, reflecting a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-border research. Such collaborations not only enhance SIDTM’s academic footprint but also provide valuable exposure and learning opportunities for our students, who benefit from international mentorship, co-guidance, and access to diverse research methodologies.
These joint initiatives have led to publications in Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals, strengthening the global visibility of SIDTM’s academic output. The institute’s encouragement of global engagement has also facilitated participation in international conferences, collaborative grant applications, and virtual research workshops. Through these efforts, SIDTM continues to build a robust research ecosystem that aligns with international standards, promoting academic excellence and contributing to the global discourse in digital and telecom management.

Virtual Engagement
Online International Engagement and Virtual Classrooms
Following the global pivot toward digital learning in the post-COVID era, the Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management (SIDTM) has strategically expanded its international footprint through innovative initiatives such as Virtual International Classrooms (VICs) and online teaching collaborations. These efforts aim to foster global academic engagement, encourage cross-cultural learning, and provide students with exposure to diverse pedagogical approaches and international best practices.
A key milestone in this journey has been SIDTM’s academic collaboration with The Open University, a globally respected institution incorporated by Royal Charter (RC 000391), an exempt charity in England & Wales and a registered charity in Scotland (SC 038302). This collaboration exemplifies SIDTM’s commitment to building bridges between institutions to facilitate knowledge exchange and co-learning. Through VICs, students engage in real-time virtual sessions with international faculty, gaining insights into global trends in digital technologies, telecom policy, and business management.
These collaborative efforts not only enhance academic quality but also align with SIDTM’s vision of creating globally competent professionals equipped for the digital economy. By embracing the digital transformation in higher education, SIDTM continues to lead as a forward-looking institution committed to academic excellence and global partnerships in the digital age.
International Academic Communities – IEEE
The Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management (SIDTM) maintains strong international academic linkages through its active engagement with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA—one of the world’s largest technical professional organizations dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. SIDTM proudly hosts an IEEE Student Branch, providing students and researchers direct access to a global platform of innovation, technical exchange, and professional development. Link the website
This affiliation strengthens SIDTM’s academic ecosystem by fostering collaboration with international academic communities, offering exposure to global research trends, industry best practices, and the latest developments in fields such as AI, cybersecurity, telecommunications, data science, and digital transformation. Many faculty members at SIDTM are Senior Members of IEEE, reflecting their longstanding contributions to research and academic excellence on a global scale.

International Academic Communities : Journals
International academic communities serve as vital platforms for fostering global collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange across disciplines. As Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics (IJNN) published by IGI Global, USA, Dr. Saikat Gochhait (India & Russia) and Dr. Norris Krueger (Japan & USA) exemplify this spirit of transnational academic leadership.
IJNN connects researchers from neuroscience, informatics, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence, bringing together diverse insights from leading institutions across continents.
