Students can enter the competition in the form of teams (The team should have a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 4 participants).

S.P.A.R.S.H. is an I.S.R. (Institute Social Responsibility) wing of S.I.T.M. which aims to reward a living, enrich living and spread a message of charity, mercy, love and benevolence by doing something for the betterment and upliftment of the society. S.P.A.R.S.H. stands for SIDTM (Formerly SITM)’s Plan to Act, Reach, Support and Heal. Thus, S.P.A.R.S.H. as a committee, not only focuses on enhancing the quality of living of the needy ones but also it emphasizes on those several ways that cater to the good of the society as a whole. The events conducted by S.P.A.R.S.H. unite everyone together where everyone realizes that they play a significant role in doing something good for the society without expecting anything in return.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP

Pune: A Blood Donation Camp was organised by Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM) in association with Symbiosis Centre of Health Care & district Jankalyan Blood Bank on 22nd Jan, 2011 on the occasion of 75th birth anniversary celebration of Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, President & Founder Director, Symbiosis Society. The drive was organized by SIDTM (Formerly SITM) SPARSH team, a student body of SIDTM (Formerly SITM) for social cause & was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Patil Director, SIDTM (Formerly SITM). Across the spectrum, students participated in the blood donation camp. Participating institutes included SIDTM (Formerly SITM), SIBM, SIMC , SIT & SSBM etc.

Around 200 students participated in blood donation which ran through the whole day. Proper care was taken of students who donated their blood. Students, who wanted to donate blood, were taken through a thorough medical examination. Only those who passed this examination were allowed to donate blood.

Catchy slogans like “All it cost is little Love”, “One drop of Blood can give Life to Someone” were displayed at prominent places throughout the Campus and on notice boards which resulted in this overwhelming response from Students, Faculty and employees from all the Participating institute.

Mr. Sunil Patil Director, SIDTM (Formerly SITM), took the lead along with Ms. Jasmeet Kaur (Committee Head) and Coordinator Mrs. Geeta Rao which inspired others to donate their blood. This camp became successful with the help of Symbiosis Centre for health Care and Jankalyan Blood Bank a part of Rotary Club.

TEDx at SIDTM

TEDx -a suite of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that are idea-focused, is an event that presents multiple issues and a diversity of voices from many disciplines. The mammoth popularity of TEDx talks has spawned several smaller, more localized versions of the inspirational lecture series.

TEDx SIU lavale is a major event conducted by entrepreneurship cell of SIDTM (Formerly SITM) featuring an amalgamation of bright ideas developed by individuals with distinct abilities who inspire and strive to inculcate their vision within the society. A conglomeration of creative thoughts, each initiating the next, resulting in a chain reaction of success. This is precisely what we seek to do at TEDxSIULavale executing this spread of ideas more than generating major crowds. From, “An Eye for I” in 2012 to “Crayons- the Creative Quotient “in 2019, we aim to explore new ideas, stimulating imagination, and encouraging innovation, getting inspiration, and thereby enhancing Entrepreneurial ability with the flair for motivation, vision, spark and creativity.

The 7th edition of TEDxSIULavale 2019 was organized by Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management (Formerly SITM) on 23rd Feb 2019. The Theme for this year was “Crayons- the Creative Quotient”, which was about showcasing the diversity and reflecting the varied colors of life which can be unobvious, off track, unheard of and yetthose which can add a different dimension to a mundane thought process and saw an interesting line-up of speakers; Padmashri Dr. Syed Kirmani -Legendary Indian Wicket Keeper, Mr Devashish Sharma-AI expert ,Ms Latika Nath- Wildlife Conservationist, Dr. Tushar Shah – Poet & Stand-up Artist, Mr Sober Emanuel Maverick-Musician, Blogger, Mr Subramanyeswar CEO-Lowe Lintas, Ms Dhara Jain- Production designer & space stylist, Dr. Varkha Chulani-Clinical Psychologist.

The event saw a plethora of ideas stimulating the spirit of the entire audience and exposing them to speakers who are doing cutting edge work across numerous causes and domains.

Aarambh is a cultural gala event where young minds take a break from their busy academic schedule to come together and showcase their talent and skills. The event is organised by Symbiosis International University (SIU) witnessing participation from all the institutes at Lavale campus.

This year, Aarambh 2016 came along with a strong message appealing to all the Symbians to unite and “Be the Difference”, in this fast changing era of globalisation and technology.This year’s theme focused on how we the students, the future of the country, can act as catalysts to make a big difference in the quality of life we all live environmentally, ecologically, socially and even culturally.

Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM) put up a spectacular performance like every year. The concept showcased this time was a rather sensitive one entitled ‘Boys Don’t Cry”, an attempt to break the stereotypes. The concept perfectly blended with the master theme of “Be the Difference” which allured the young audience to ponder upon aspects of life that definitely needed some attention and by taking some small initiative make the world a better place to live in.

Dr. Rajani Gupte, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International University was invited as a chief guest for this event. Dr. Sunil Patil, Director of Symbiosis Institute of Digital & Telecom Management (SIDTM) also blessed the event with his presence.

The performers had practiced for this event for more than a fortnight, giving in everything they could. They poured their souls out with their passionate performance against a full auditorium and were able to win many hearts in the process.

E-Cell of SIDTM, the organizers of the event did a splendid job by making sure that the event undergoes smoothly. The 2 hours power packed performances had filled the whole auditorium with positive vibes and energy. The cheering squad did a fabulous job by motivating the participants to be at their best.
